What is PC Safeguard?

PC Safeguard is a service provided by CompuTech Support Services allowing us to track and locate your stolen computer along with other features once you, the client have notified us. All that is needed is the installation of our software to get it going.

How Does It Work?

Once notifying us here at CompuTech, we can activate various features from the software's control panel via our server. The features below are enabled:

• marking the computer as MISSING – once marked as missing, the software sends reports to us which in turn will be forwarded to the client.
  
  
• the GPS tracking & locating feature estimates the computer's physical location via Google Maps
  
  
• the NETWORK feature pinpoints, by name, the wireless network connection and also the ADSL's IP address it will be connected to.
  
  
• the WEBCAM feature is also enabled without the thief knowing which in turns takes a picture and sends it along with the reports.
  
  
• the thief, at some point, will access your files, where a screen shot of what is being done is also recorded. This is called the SESSION feature.

Also an alarm sound can be enabled and a personalised message of your choice, can also be sent to the computer at 10 minute intervals. We can also lockdown the computer using the software with a password of your choice.

We will receive as mentioned before reports from the program at 10 minute intervals which in turn will be forwarded to you, the client. Within each report will be all the features provided.

Once the computer is recovered, please notify us in order to deactivate any feature used.
